Mera wala Chai...

I often complain about how I want to drink my tea in peace.

In fact I complain so much that if BigSis makes a card for me listing a few things that I love-- right there at # 1 is "Mommy loves to Sleep" and # 2 is "Mommy wants to drink tea in peace". She has REALLY given me a card and two like that. I don't know if she is trying to get a message across---child psychologists would know better--- but that is the impression even you will get if you stayed 24x7 with me for at least a fortnight. For days fewer than that I strive hard to make an impression.

But in reality I think the day I have my tea to myself I will not know what to do with it.

A cup of tea with two little hands dunking Marie in it is "Mera wala Chai" and I want it to remain that way. Sniff.Sniff.

  3. I hate it when people dunk biscuits in my tea. I literally shoo away my daughters if they are found armed with a biscuit while I'm having my tea. I know what to expect when my daughters reach the phase of making cards on their own :-D

    1. No, no let them do that. You are going to miss it when they get older :) Honestly I don't like it a lot either especially when pieces of biscuit fall into the chai but what can I do? Tea time is the time when I sit together with them after work :-D

  12. That remeinded me of myself! :) I used to dunk a biscuit or two into my mom's tea :D and I know how much I loved that! She would also crave for a cup all for herself so I would sneak in a biscuit when she was not looking but she would always come to know when she reaches her last sip...I would drop piece of biscuit almost always. The worst were those puff pastry biscuits, they taste so good soaked in tea but always leave their flakes at the bottom! LOL!

    1. Yes! I'm grateful there's only one pair of hands dipping into mine. I would have gone crazy with two hands and the increased amount of sludge at the bottom of the cup! Once again, I have renewed respect for you!

The current dipping faves are biscotti and rusk. I've been known to put out a decoy cup of tea but it doesn't work anymore because apparently "it's not the same as sharing with me." Um, who said I want to share?!

But no matter how much we complain, we know those hands are precious. Hugs to you and to your pretties. Especially today.
