If you are a sucker for Numbers-Thank You..if Not-Thank You

Thanks for the 1.5 million hits.

You guys mean a lot to me. Without you this would never have been possible.

Trust me, except for me, the hub and my Dad, no one I know and influence in real life visits this blog.

My Dad has a slow connection and accounts for maybe 1% of the hits.

The hub has blogger blocked at work, he can do only so much on his blackberry -- 0.5 %

Me -- ok, ok 2%

The rest 96.5% is you guys who came, Visited, Liked, Subscribed and Searched.

Thank You from the bottom of my heart, even the one who searched for "arun sour daey a girl hot video" and landed here.

I hope you like what you get here, except for ummm..."hot video"...I will see if I can do anything for you next time. For now be happy with a "hot curry".

We will celebrate in 2 weeks time, stay tuned.

  15. Congratualtions Sandeepa.

I am in line for the hot video as well. :)

Jokes aside, I know what you mean about people we know in real life having hardly any impact on our blog hits. In my family, I think my bro is the only one who occassionaly visits and one personal friend who checks it out on a regular basis. But it is wonderful to meet so many new friends who otherwise I would have never met or got to know.

    Lookin foward to the celebration.

Thank YOU for the lovely blog, great recipes and interesting banter and errr. the hot stuff ;)

Your hubby atleast accounts for 0.5% - mine is happy to help as long as it doesn't involve any surfing time - yes, he's in IT(unfortunately not software) and does NOT surf the net....

My first introduction to your blog was through Sananda!Yes...there was a write up on "Bangali Meyeder Ekal-Sekal" and there it discussed how ekaler bangali meyera searches the net to get bengali recipes and it was your blog that the girl was going through....That was It!!And from that day i am an ardent fan of Yours...and i do recommend to my friends and family. And if any day i start a blog it will be just your inspiration Dear!Bhalo theko r bhalo likho!

  23. i've been following your blog since I stumbled onto blogs. I love your self deprecating humor and I read your posts for your writing as much as for your recipes and feel a special nostalgia as my early years were growing up in Calcutta and once fluent in bengali including street talk [apparently] now i can't speak the language.infact my name was shondha for a long time till we moved to Madras.
Good Luck for your continued success.

  24. Hey congrats! I am one of a silent visitor who visits your blog regularly and leaves it without adding a comment. But I cudn't resist this time. Being a writer by profession, the sheer joy of reading you and the thought of good food in between deadlines keeps me coming here for more. Keep writing and sharing the wisdom of bangali khabar.

  25. Congrats Sandeepa! I visit your blog quite often..everytime I need a tried and tested recipe.. I come here. I trust your cooking so much... tried the paneer kalia recipe from your blog just yesterday! it turned well and very different than most paneer dish recipes. Well done and way to go!
